Our Top Brands

Peak Performance

Peak Performance means quality from Åre.

With its Autumn/Winter 2021 ski collection, Peak Performance wants to give you the opportunity to experience unforgettable moments in the snowy mountains. Developed with the expertise and feedback of the professional skiers with whom this Swedish brand works so closely, the collection shows courageous design as well as uncompromising functionality. Sustainability is also at the top of the agenda at Peak Performance as well: this year’s styles are characterised by timeless design, extremely durable and mainly manufactured from recycled materials.

It all began on a ski lift in Sweden. It was there that the idea was born to design high-quality ski clothing that would convince both functionally as well as visually. Renowned today as Scandinavia’s biggest clothing brand in the fields of functional sportswear and true-to-task casual fashions, Peak Performance opened its first branch in Åre in 1986.

Meanwhile, the Peak Performance brand has also become well established beyond the borders of Scandinavia. Not least due to their Heli Alpin and Gravity collection, whose lines are tailored to the special needs and demands of ski tourers and freeriders. For downhill rides, they conceived a down jacket, including, for example, the Helium and Forst Down jacket, which has enjoyed growing popularity. Yet another classic is the Black Light collection. This consists of different layers, guaranteeing that hikers, mountaineers and climbers are able to stay dry and pursue their passion in all weather conditions.

The Mountain Studio

Nestled at the foot of the Matterhorn is one of the world’s most famous ski areas – Zermatt. This is the home of The Mountain Studio, a modern ski and mountain lifestyle brand founded by some of the best veterans in the sportswear industry, together with the best skier of our time, Marcel Hirscher. The founders, who look back on many years of experience with some of the most popular ski and sportswear brands from Scandinavia and the Alps, managed to find the ideal complement in Marcel Hirscher’s legendary, uncompromising striving for highest-possible quality and performance. The Mountain Studio succeeds in melding the modern Scandinavian and Alpine design philosophies. The result is optimal clothing for perfect skiing and mountaineering experiences, as well as for an active lifestyle in the city.

Stöckli

«HIGHEST PERFORMANCE THANKS TO A LOVE FOR DETAIL»

In the mid-1930s, Josef Stöckli manufactured wooden skis for his own needs. This was the starting shot for a success story that no one would have dreamed possible back then. Josef Stöckli filled a big tub with water, heated it up and laid the boards of ash wood which he had cut in his parents’ carpentry workshop on top. Using this process, he was able to steam the boards and bend them into shape. Those skis must have been good, because more and more orders from his colleagues came in and then, in 1935, when demand became greater still, he decided to found the Stöckli AG ski factory.

Ski Manufacturer

The Swiss mountains taught Stöckli that only the best materials are up to the harsh winter. At Stöckli, they are dedicated to Swiss-ness and the high quality with which it is associated. And that’s why virtually all 140 steps in the manufacturing process are completed by hand at their ski factory in Malters (LU). This love for perfection is evident in the quality of their skis, a quality which benefits World Cup ski aces as it does passionate hobby skiers.

With a fine touch

Since its founding, one thing has never changed – the continual tinkering, screwing, testing and optimising. They want customers to sense and enjoy the unique riding sensation of a Stöckli ski in every turn they make. To achieve this goal, Stöckli unites innovative technology with passionate handcraftsmanship. CAD programs and CNC cutting machines provide for precision, as do the experienced hand and trained eye of each individual employee.

Many years of know-how

In Malters, Lucerne, back in 1986, they build a modern manufacturing facility that went into operation the same year. Today, more than 60'000 pairs of skis leave the factory of Stöckli Swiss Sports AG annually. With its many years of experience and the constant new innovations coming out of its racing and development department, Stöckli is able to guarantee a wide ski selection certain to meet the needs of every skier.

Burton

Jake Burton Carpenter founded his Burton Snowboards business in 1977, in a barn in the state of Vermont. He dedicated his entire life to the development of his company and snowboarding in general. It was he who gave a soul to the sport of snowboarding and made it what it is today.

It is simply impossible to imagine the snowboard scene without the name “Burton”. Numerous professional athletes are supported by the brand as they travel around the globe and take part in competitions. Those athletes are also indispensable for the company. The feedback the company gets from World Champions, rising stars and leaders in the sport is priceless and flows directly into the production process.

Everything created at Burton has its origins in the mountains. Whether you are looking to get the absolute most out of every journey, or tear up the snow around the globe. It is their goal to revolutionise the way in which people enjoy nature, from the first day on. This is also evident in the manufacturing process, highlighted by Craig’s over 900 square meter production facility, the result of ongoing commitment to research and development. Although Craig’s facility could put out thousands of snowboards, the company is committed to R&D and produces only a limited number of boards every season.

At over 60 years of age, I have no desire to bend over anymore. I did that my entire life.
Jake Burton Carpenter
